The Kent Rexophone Model C

When I received this old gramophone it was in a rather dilapidated condition. The motor had seized up due to grease hardening over the years, something had been dropped on to the sound arm the cabinet finish was disintegrating and the sound box was out of adjustment. However no bits were missing including the original winding handle and the needle fixing screw so I decided it deserved a bit of T.L.C. This gramophone was manufactured circa 1916 by Jackson and MacDonald in their factory in Kent St. Sydney. Here they turned out an impressive number of Rexophones and two other models, Rexonolas and Rexoports.

This Gramophone was purchased from L. A. Pogonowski Engine St Haymarket,  Sydney ( Music Publisher and musical instrument maker) circa 1916.
